The challenge

Checking carrier labels and carton condition at the dock is repetitive work. When volumes spike, it's the first check to get rushed or skipped, and mistakes only show up later as chargebacks or lost shipments.

Cloud vision services raise data and connectivity questions most warehouses would rather avoid.

What we built

  • A compact edge appliance built on NVIDIA Jetson that runs the model on-site, next to the dock door.
  • Carrier and carton checks with a simple pass or flag result for the operator.
  • WMS integration or standalone. Results can feed the warehouse system or run on their own.
  • Built for unattended use, so it keeps running without someone on-site to babysit it.
  • One subscription covering the hardware and the service, so there's no upfront hardware purchase.

VECTR is in pilot. Defect detection is the next capability on the roadmap once the base checks are proven in the field.
