Eight data flows into one warehouse, zero re-keying

The challenge

This client sells across marketplaces and through Amazon FBA from a single warehouse. Their data lived in four places: marketplace orders and pick lists in GoFlow, FBA shipments in Nine Yards, inbound containers in spreadsheets, and item data in a shared sheet.

Staff were copying between these systems by hand, and the new warehouse management system needed all of it to be accurate before the team could pick from it.

What we built

• Scheduled order imports. Clean orders submit themselves. Anything that fails a check is held for review with a reason, so bad data never reaches the warehouse.
• Pick slips released by QR code. Scanning the printed pick list re-checks the source and releases the slip to the scanners.
• FBA shipments as transfers, with item codes already mapped and ZPL box labels printed at shipping.
• Container uploads with a dry run that flags every problem before submit.
• Item master import with dimensions and case and pallet quantities.
• Nightly stock sync that only applies differences, tested with dry runs before going live.
• Pick reversals report for orders cancelled mid-pick.
• Secure by design: encrypted API keys, a read-only database login, and a login-protected portal running as a Windows service.

Results

The warehouse team scans, picks and ships, and the data is already there. Three more flows are planned: stock pushed back to GoFlow, transfers and Walmart WFS, and multi-supplier containers.
